Founded in 1906, the Broome County Bar Association has grown to more than 500 members. In addition to the lawyer referral service, the Broome County Bar Association provides continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, recognizes the achievements of our members, and provides networking opportunities.

What Happens When you Call Broome County LRS?

The Lawyer Referral Service of the Broome County Bar Association served Broome County, Tioga County, Chenango County, Chemung County, and Delaware County. The LRS was designed to helped the public find a local attorney with experience in a particular field of the law. When you call the service, a trained staff person is supposed to talk with you about your legal concern.

The LRS was opened from Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for walk-in meetings. Or the phone lined was opened at (607) 723-6331 from Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In exchange for paying a $35 fee to the Broome County Bar Association, you should receive a referral to a local attorney. You can then contact the attorney for a 30-minute consultation at no additional charge. During the consultation with the attorney, you can discuss your case and the attorney fees needed for additional representation.
