When you call the lawyer referral service sponsored by the West Pasco Bar Association, you will be referred to a local attorney in New Port Richey or the surrounding areas of Pasco County, FL. The LRS makes thousands of referrals each year.

You must pay a $50 fee to the lawyer referral service for the referral. The consultation fee entitles you to a 30-minute consultation with the attorney at no additional charge.

The $50 consultation fee is waived for workers’ compensation, social security, personal injury, medical malpractice, labor and employment law, and Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

The lawyer referral service then provides you with the name and phone number of an attorney who practices in the area of law that relates to your legal problem. The service will instruct you to inform the attorney’s office that you were referred by the CBA LRS.

If the first attorney is not able to help you for any reason, then you can call the service back for a second referral.

During the consultation you can discuss your legal issue, the attorney’s experience and qualifications and the attorney fees required for additional legal services. For personal injury cases, the referral fee is waived.

Attorneys are screened to make sure they are in good standing with the Florida Bar and the West Pasco Bar Association. The attorney must have no pending disciplinary actions in any bar association.

The attorney must maintain professional liability insurance in a minimum amount of $100,000. Additionally, the attorney must agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Lawyer Referral Service.
