The Jacksonville Bar Association (JBA) Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) can help you find a qualified attorney in Duval County, Florida. When you call the service, a referral coordinator will determine the type of case involved.  The coordinator will then make a referral to an attorney qualified to handle that type of case. The referral coordinator will contact the attorney’s office and schedule an appointment for the client.

In exchange for the referral, the coordinator will also collect a nominal administration fee of $50. The attorneys that participate in the service agree t30-minute a 30 minute consultation at no additional charge. The fee can be paid by credit card, cashier’s check or money order.

During the consultation, you can talk with the attorney about your legal issue and the attorney fees required for additional representation. The office hours for the Lawyer Referral Service managed by the Jacksonville Bar Association are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Since January, 2010, the Lawyer Referral Service managed by the Jacksonville Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service has referred over 4,415 potential clients to attorneys participating in the service as panel members. The JBA LRS reports that those participating attorneys have collected over $1,450,000 in attorney fees resulting from these referrals.

Attorneys that participate in the service agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations of The JBA LRS. The attorneys are screened to make sure they are in good standing with the Florida Bar, maintain a full time private law practice and have no disciplinary action pending against them.
