Lawyer Referral Service for Santa Barbara County

The Santa Barbara County Bar Association sponsors a non-profit Lawyer Referral Service ("LRS"). The LRS is certified by the State Bar of California and it meets the standards set by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Since 1964, this Lawyer Referral Service in Santa Barbara has been helping individuals and businesses find an attorney in a wide variety of practice areas. The attorneys on the panel have experienced in those particular areas of the law, are in good standing with the California Bar and carry malpractice insurance.

When you call the LRS the trained staff will discuss your case with you during a confidential intake process. When appropriate, the staff person will refer you to an attorney experienced in the practice area most applicable to your case.

The service charges a $25.00 administrative fee, but the 30 minute consultation with the attorney is free. The fee is waived for personal injury law, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, workers' compensation law and social security law.
