AAJ Applauds Senate Introduction of FAIR Act to End Forced Arbitration

Washington, DC — The following is a statement from American Association for Justice CEO Linda Lipsen on the introduction of the Forced Arbitration Injustice Repeal (FAIR) Act to end forced arbitration:

"Forced arbitration strips consumers, patients, and workers of the fundamental right to hold law-breaking corporations accountable. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) today introduced the FAIR Act which would ban this abusive practice. We thank him and all of the 39 original cosponsors in the Senate and look forward to a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Americans’ rights to seek justice must be must be restored by ending forced arbitration." ###
The American Association for Justice works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to receive justice through the legal system when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others—even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations. Visit http://www.justice.org.
