AAJ Statement Opposing the Clarity Act

WASHINGTON, DC—American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen issued the following statement after the Senate Banking Committee advanced the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act:  "The Clarity Act passed by the Senate Banking Committee today entirely fails to protect investors, consumers, and the stability of U.S. capital markets. Despite broad and strong opposition from consumer protection and organized labor organizations, as well as state regulators and law enforcement groups, Senators advanced a bill that would strip consumers and investors of critical rights. We can promote innovation without putting workers’ hard-earned savings at risk—but the Clarity Act fundamentally misses the mark. I urge every Senator to oppose this measure on the floor."
###  The  American Association for Justice  works to safeguard rights, promote fairness, and strengthen access to civil justice—even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations.  AAJ’s vision is justice for all.
