House Lawmakers Reject Immunity for Pesticide Makers in Decisive Bipartisan Vote
WASHINGTON, DC—American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to remove pesticide immunity from the House Farm Bill: "In a decisive bipartisan vote, 207 Democrats and 73 Republicans rejected foreign corporate chemical companies’ effort to gift themselves immunity when their pesticides hurt or kill people. Across the country, red and blue states alike have already rejected these immunity pushes by corporate chemical companies. The American people have made it clear—they want safety, justice and accountability, not corporate immunity."
### The American Association for Justice works to safeguard rights, promote fairness, and strengthen access to civil justice—even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations. AAJ’s vision is justice for all.
