AAJ Applauds Bill to Help Americans Killed and Injured in Truck Crashes
WASHINGTON, DC— American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen today issued the following statement in support of the Fair Compensation for Truck Crash Victims Act:
" Nothing costs the same today as it did in 1980—not health care, not gas, not trucks, and not tolls. But despite rising inflati on and increased costs, the insurance minimum required for trucking companies hasn’t been raised in over four decades. Action is long overdue to ensure that Americans injured or killed in a truck crash are not left stranded and without the resources to pay medical bills and restore their quality of life after a crash. I thank Representatives Chuy Garcia and Derek Tran for introducing this bill to protect public safety and bring carrier insurance minimums out of the 1980s."
