AAJ Supports Critical Bill to End Forced Arbitration for Race Discrimination

Washington, DC— The following is a statement from American Association for Justice President Tad Thomas on the "Ending Forced Arbitration of Race Discrimination Act":
"The secretive system of forced arbitration allows race discrimination and racially hostile environments to continue unabated and without consequence to those who perpetuate it. This legislation would restore to Americans a choice as to how to enforce their rights and seek public accountability from those who engaged in illegal discriminatory actions.
We thank Senator Cory Booker and Representatives Collin Allred and Hank Johnson for their leadership on this issue, and we urge the House and Senate Judiciary Committees to consider and pass this bill as soon as possible."
