AAJ Commends President Biden and Senators Schumer and Gillibrand for Nomination of Arun Subramanian for SDNY

Washington, DC — The following is a statement from American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen on the nomination of Arun Subramanian for United States District Court for the Southern District of New York:
"We applaud President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for their leadership on the nomination of Arun Subramanian. He will bring much-needed professional diversity to the federal bench, having spent his career fighting for the rights of consumers, whistleblowers, and families."
A graduate of Columbia Law School, Arun Subramanian is a partner at Susman Godfrey in New York and previously clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He would be the first South Asian judge on the SDNY.
