AAJ Applauds Nomination of Rachel Bloomekatz to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit

Washington, D.C. – Today, President Joe Biden announced that Rachel S. Bloomekatz of Ohio has been nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Bloomekatz is a solo practioner and former U.S. Supreme Court law clerk.
"Rachel Bloomekatz has dedicated her career to protecting the rights of children, families and individuals whose rights have been violated," said Linda Lipsen, CEO of the American Association for Justice. "We applaud her nomination and look forward to seeing more nominees to the federal bench who have experience fighting for people and defending the Constitution."
Rachel Bloomekatz founded Bloomekatz Law LLC in Columbus, Ohio, in 2019 where she is a solo practitioner. Previously, she was a principal at Gupta Wessler PLLC, a law clerk for Justice Stephen Breyer and a law clerk for Chief Justice Margaret Marshall on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Prior to that she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General in Boston and a law clerk for Judge Guido Calabresi on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms. Bloomekatz is a graduate of Harvard University and the UCLA School of Law.
