Consumer Attorneys of San Diego CASD

The mission of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego ("CASD"), formerly San Diego Trial Lawyers, is to serve the needs of civil trial law and personal injury attorneys in San Diego and the surrounding areas of Southern California.

The organization preserves and raises the standards of trial advocacy through innovative continuing legal education while creating opportunities for its members to network with each other. With more than 800 members, CASD includes more than 800 of Southern California's top personal injury and civil trial lawyers.

The office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (local time) Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The CASD office is closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. each day and as otherwise posted.


Benefits of Membership in CASD

The benefits of becoming a member of CASD include:

  • the top Educational CLE programs for trial attorneys;
  • invitations to Informational Networking Events and mixers held throughout the year;
  • a free subscription to the Trial Bar News which covers topics important to civil trial and personal injury attorneys; and
  • the ability to rent a variety of anatomical models are available for use at your upcoming trial.

Committees of the CASD

Members of the CASD are encouraged to take on leadership roles by volunteering for its various committees, subcommittees and on individual projects.

Members can volunteer to support the CASD Foundation, participate in the current educational programs, help organize social events such as dinners, golf tournament, and mixers, connect with local legislators; help CASD reach members and grow the organization.

The standing committees include:

  • the Awards Committee;
  • the Communications Committee;
  • the Community Outreach Committee;
  • the Education Committee;
  • the Events Committee;
  • the Governmental Relations Committee;
  • the Long Range Planning Committee;
  • the Membership Committee;
  • the Executive Committee; and
  • the Nominating Committee.
