The San Antonio Bar Association established a Lawyer Referral Service to help individuals and businesses find a lawyer throughout San Antonio and the rest of Bexar County, TX. This non-profit service was established in 1966.
The service is funded by annual member dues of $200 and by a 10% fee paid by the attorney to the service from any fees the lawyer earns in any referred case. In 2015, the LRS referred over 12,000 cases to its member attorneys.
If you call the referral service, you will answer a few questions about your case during a confidential intake process. The staff person will then provide you with a referral to a qualified attorney at no cost for the initial consultation.
During the consultation with the attorney, you can discuss the case and the attorney fees needed to retain the attorney to provide additional services at their normal rate. The Lawyer Referral Service in San Antonio is certified by the State Bar of Texas.
