Lawyer Referral in San Luis Obispo County

The San Luis Obispo County Bar Association (SLOBAR) sponsors a Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS). This service is certified by the State Bar of California. Since 2002, it has helped individuals and businesses throughout San Luis Obispo find a qualified attorney.

The mission of the service is "To provide individuals and businesses a referral to an experienced, qualified attorney. If an attorney is not appropriate to your situation, we will refer you to a local agency or resource that may help with your legal matter."

The service charges an administrative fee of $25.00 for the referral. The fee is waived for Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation, and Criminal Law cases. If you retain the attorney, the attorney will pay a percentage of the attorney fees collected to the LRIS.
