Lawyer Referral Services in Arkansas
The State of Arkansas does not currently have any lawyer referral services. Instead, the Arkansas Bar Association sponsors an online directory that can be used by the public to find an attorney. ARKANSASFINDALAWYER is a trademark of the Arkansas Bar Association.
You can use the directory to search for an attorney by practice area, last name, city, county or state. Based on the search criteria, the directory returns an alphabetical list of attorneys that are rotated on a regular basis. The list contains the attorney's name, law firm, address, phone number, fax, email, and a link to the attorney's website.
The directory includes more than 100 different practice areas of the law including personal injury, immigration, family law, bankruptcy, estate planning, and criminal defense. The attorneys listed in the directory have paid a fee for the listing.
The attorneys listed in the ARKANSASFINDALAWYER® directory are members in good standing of the Arkansas Bar Association. Additionally, the attorneys must maintain malpractice insurance in the amount of $100,000 per occurrence and $300,000 annual coverage for as long as the attorney participates in the arkansasfindalawyer.com directory.
Additionally, the attorney agrees to comply with the Arkansas Model Rules of Professional Conduct which sets standards for advertising. The model rules also require an attorney to have the competence needed for the areas of practice selected.
