The Mississippi State Bar was founded in September of 1932 to serve the public good by promoting excellence in the profession and in our system of justice. This non-profit organization seeks to serve its members and the public interest by championing the administration of justice and the preservation of the Rule of Law. The Mississippi Bar is a Unified or Mandatory Bar. The MA Bar has 6 practice Sections, 18 Committees, the Young Lawyers Division, a Board of Bar Commissioners and the MS Bar Foundation.
Founded in 1964, the members of the MAJ are committed to strengthening the civil justice system so that deserving individuals receive justice and wrongdoers are held accountable in our civil justice system.
