Founded in 1974, the California Women Lawyers (CWL) is a non-profit organization headquarters in Sacramento, CA. As the only statewide bar association for women in California, CWL promotes the professional advancement of women in the legal profession and beyond.
Over the years, CWL has represented the interests of more than 30,000 women in the legal profession including lawyers, educators, students and judges. By providing a high level of support and commitment to their individual career goals, CWL advances the collective goals of women in law and society.
The organization helps new lawyers expand their client base while helping more experienced attorneys in securing positions on the bench or in other leadership roles within the legal community.
