Burns, President of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), today issued a statement regarding the recent spate of violent attacks against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), confirming the College’s dedication to being both actively anti-racist and anti-discriminatory, as well as providing a welcoming and inclusive environment. ACTEC Statement Condemning Violence Against AAPI
As part of its mission to support diversity and excellence in the trust and estate field of law, ACTEC condemns racism, sexism and discrimination of all kinds. The College considers the historical, continuing, and devastating impact of institutionalized racism, sexism and discrimination in our society to be a humanitarian rather than a political issue and has, and will continue to, actively take steps to embody its commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
