Washington, DC – January 10, 2022: In celebration of National Mentoring Month, The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) offers a discussion between two successful trust and estate lawyers about the impact mentors had on their careers, and professional recommendations to young lawyers in a new video, Mentoring Young Lawyers and the Impact of Affinity Bars.
ACTEC Fellows Stephanie Perry and Sandra J. Chan reflect on their experiences as young female lawyers of color in the trust and estate profession. Both women had few role models that looked like them. Learn more about their pathways to success and their recommendations to mentors and mentees.
Planning for a Diverse and Equitable Future host, ACTEC Fellow Terrence M. Franklin, said, "You will hear Sandra's story of the importance of her mentor's impact on her career.
