The Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas, Inc., is a community based service established by the Austin Bar Association. The non-profit public Lawyer Referral Service has been referring the public to a qualified attorney in Austin and the surrounding areas of central Texas since 1966.

Each year more than 12,000 callers are referred to local attorneys. More than 220 lawyers participate in the LRS across more than 50 practice areas of law. On average, the attorneys participating in the LRS have over 10 years’ experience in their respective fields.

The LRS of Central Texas in Austin meets the standards set by the American Bar Association for lawyer referral services. LRS is also certified as a lawyer referral service as required by the State of Texas under Chapter 952, Occupations Code. Certificate No. 9303.
