Find a Lawyer in Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Bar Association sponsors a Lawyer Referral Service to help the public find a qualified attorney. You can find an attorney in one of two ways. You can visit the Indy Lawyer Finder. The online directory lets you search online for information on local attorneys who concentrate in a particular practice area of the law. Practice areas include, but are not limited to, the following: family law; criminal defense; personal injury; estate planning; resale estate, bankruptcy, civil rights, immigration, school law, appeals and worker's compensation.

Use the Indy Lawyer Finder to search for an attorney based on the practice area, legal approach, education, awards, achievements, and fee structure. The attorney listings on the Indy Lawyer Finder website are paid attorney advertisements and do not constitute a referral or endorsement by Indy Lawyer Finder or any approved or authorized lawyer referral service.

You can also contact the Lawyer Referral Service at the Indianapolis Bar Association during normal business hours to receive a referral over the phone. The service is opened from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. When you contact the Lawyer Referral Service you will provide your contact information, a brief description of your legal situation, the geographical requirements of the case, and the subject matter classification of the case.
