Using the Attorney Referral Service in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago

When you call the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA) Attorney Referral Service (ARS) you will talk with a staff member during a confidential interview. The staff member will help you determine whether an attorney is needed.

If so, the staff person will help you determine the best type of attorney for your case based on the practice area needed. The non-refundable $25 consultation fee is paid directly to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association at the time of the consultation.

The staff person will choose an attorney in your area in the appropriate practice area. Then you can contact the attorney for a 30 minute consultation at no additional charge.

During the consultation with the attorney you can discuss your case and legal concerns. You can also discuss the attorney fees needed for services beyond the initial consultation.

The attorneys that participate in the lawyer referral service must meet the following general qualifications:

• be a member in good standing of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA);
• be a active member in good standing of the State Bar of Illinois; and
• practice law in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
