Founded in 1872, the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is a nonprofit voluntary membership organization of attorneys in the greater San Francisco Bay Area including attorneys, law students, and legal professionals. Today, the organization has more than 7,000 members that include many of top lawyers in San Francisco, CA.
The BASF acts as the heart of the San Francisco legal community. The more than 7,500 members including individuals, law firms, corporate legal departments, and law schools. The organization is governed by a board of directors. Tasks are performed by committees and attorneys who volunteer their time to help the legal community.
