Mission and History

The Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association was founded to support criminal defense attorneys through the greater Dallas / Fort Worth area. The organization provides educational resources, CLE events and networking opportunities with many of the top criminal defense lawyers in Dallas County and throughout the greater DFW area of North Texas.

The benefits of joining the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association include:

access to the DCDLA list-serve; access to the DCDLA Lawyer’s Lounge;
a listing in the online membership directory that is open to the public;
invitation to 12 hours CLE yearly; and
access to DCDLA Ethics at the Ballpark seminar each spring.

The DCDLA is an affiliate of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

DCDLA provides several different membership levels including:

Regular Members $150.00
Public Defenders $50.00
Young Lawyers Licensed 2 Years or Less - $50
Law Students - $25 Over 65 - No Dues
