Mission and History

The Nevada Justice Association (NJA) is a statewide nonprofit professional organization of attorneys focused on civil practice in plaintiff representation. Founded in 1966, NJA strives to strengthen the civil justice system and preserve the rights of the individual in an adversarial system. The organization is an affiliate of the American Association for Justice.

The NJA consists of Nevada personal injury lawyers and other attorneys seeking to improve their practice and the legal system. The organization also lobbies the Nevada legislature on justice issues, including access to courts and the right to a jury.

The benefits of joining the Nevada Justice Association (NJA) include:

Types of Membership

The NJA offers different types of membership including:

  • Regular Membership is available to attorneys who spend the majority of their civil practice in plaintiff representation.
  • Associate Membership is available to attorneys who spend the majority of their civil practice in defense work.
  • Membership as a public sector attorney is available to lawyers who are employed by the federal, state or local government.
