American College of Family Trial Lawyers (ACFTL)

Founded in 1993, the American College of Family Trial Lawyers is a select group of the 100 family law trial attorneys in the United States. The organization chooses it members based upon their litigation skills and courtroom abilities. Members are elected into the American College of Family Trial Lawyers (ACFTL) as Diplomates.

Within the ACFTL, diplomates work to advance the professional standards and values important to the practice of family law. Members are focused on complex family law and matrimonial matters both domestically and internationally. The ACFTL brings together many of the top family law attorneys in the United States.

Diplomates in the American College of Family Trial Lawyers are also involved in continuing education through speaking at seminars and participating in interactive sessions that promote excellence in the practice of divorce and family law.

All members of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers also belong to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). The organization holds an annual meeting each April.
