Attorneys serve a various panels for different practice areas depending on their education, training and experience. Each year LRIS refers over 15,000 individuals to panel attorneys.

How Do I Receive a Referral?

>To receive a referral you should call the service Monday through Friday from 8:30am and 5:00pm.  Alternative, you can submit an online referral request anytime.

More than 300 lawyers participate in Nevada’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Those attorneys service on panels for 22 broad areas of law and 170 subcategories.

To participate in LRIS, attorneys must be:

• active members of the State Bar of Nevada;

• in good standing; and

• have legal liability malpractice insurance.

In exchange for the referral, the attorney agrees to charge the client no more than $45 for an initial consultation. During the consultation, you can discuss the case with the attorney, solutions to the legal problem, and the attorney fees required for additional representation. Attorneys charge their normal fee for representation. Free or pro bono attorneys are not provided.
